Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has extended the payment of N25,000 per month wage award to the state civil servants by another six months.

Makinde announced this on Friday during the inauguration of the
Challenge-odo Ona Elewe – Apata road in Ibadan.

He said the extension was pending the outcome of the ongoing negotiation on the new national minimum wage.

The governor had in August, 2023 announced a N25,000 per month for civil servants and N15,000 per month award for pensioners.

The governor announced then that the payment of the wage award was only for six months.    (vitalnewsngr.com)
