Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State on Monday led some youths from the state to present a N100 million cheque to the APC in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The cheque was presented to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) , Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, at the party’s secretariat in Abuja.
Receiving the cheque, Yilwatda commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his outstanding performance in his two years in office.
The APC National Chairman particularly
praised Governor Ododo’s strides in infrastructure development, security of lives and property, youth and women inclusion in governance, as well as improvements in the health and education sectors.
He noted that the governor’s performance has further strengthened Kogi State’s standing within the party and aligned it closely with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Responding, Governor Ododo, who was accompanied by senior government officials and party leaders from Kogi State, said the visit was to demonstrate solidarity with the party’s National Working Committee and to convey the goodwill of the people, particularly the youths of Kogi State to the leadership of the APC and President Tinubu.
The governor while formally presented a cheque of ₦100 million to the party’s national chairman, said the money was raised by Kogi youths in support of President Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He described the gesture as a reflection of the confidence of the people of Kogi State in the President’s leadership and their commitment to the continued progress and stability of the nation under the APC-led administration.
