The Iyalode of Egbaland, Chief (Mrs) Alaba Lawson is dead.
Iyalode Lawson died at Abeokuta, Ogun State, in the early hours of Saturday, October 28, 2023.
She was 72 years old.
Iyalode Alaba Lawson, was a socialite, business woman and school proprietress.
Her demise was announced in a terse whatsshap message sent to members of Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce, Mine, Industry and Agriculture (ABEOCCIMA) Saturday morning.
The message reads thus :
“GOOD MORNING DEAR MEMBERS.
WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THE DEMISE OF ABEOCCIMA MATRON & CHAIRMAN, BOARD OF TRUSTEES, IYALODE ALABA LAWSON, MFR, F.IoD, JP WHICH OCCURRED IN THE EARLY HOURS OF TODAY SATURDAY 28TH OCTOBER 2023.
