Kaduna – Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State on Monday imposed a 24-hour curfew on Jema’a and Kaura local government areas of the state following the killing of 15 persons in the Kaura by armed bandits.
The declaration of the curfew was to arrest the worsening security situations in the Southern Kaduna communities which under violent attack by gunmen on Sunday night.
A source from Kaura reported thst the gunmen on Sunday night unleashed gun attack on Agban Kagoro, Kaura local government area of Kaduna state and killed 15 people in the process.
However, the number of people injured and houses burnt , during the attack could not be ascertained as at the time of this report by our source.
“I was able to count and see about 15 people killed.
“There is the likelihood that there are those killed in their houses while others could have died in the bushes as a result of gun wounds they sustained, ” the source said.
