The Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye is dead .
Adeyeye died at the age of 64 on Monday night in a private hospital in Ado Ekiti.
His death was confirmed on Tuesday in a statement issued by the Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State Judiciary,Adegoke Olanike.
Adegoke expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the esteemed jurist.
The statement, signed by the Public Relations Officer, Mr. Oba Olayiwola Michael, highlighted Justice Adeyeye’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and his significant contributions to the judicial system in Ekiti State.
“His contribution to the development of the judiciary and Ekiti State at large are immeasurable and his legacy will be deeply missed.
“Further details will be announced in due course”, the statement added.
Justice Adeyeye was sworn in as the CJN of Ekiti on October 11, 2021 by former Governor Kayode Fayemi.
Adeyeye was born in 1960 in Araromi Ugbesi in Ekiti East Local Government of Ekiti State and was called to bar in 1986.
