Makurdi – Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia has set up Assets Recovery Committees, for the state and local government level.

Sir Tersoo Kula, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Makurdi.

He said the the committees are, among other things, mandated to ascertain all assets of the government including lands, vehicles, houses, furniture and other machinery.

Members of the state assets recovery committee are Hon Hingah Biem as Chairman and Barr. Tormbuwua Terlumun , Member/Secretary.

Others to work with the them are Barr. Joe Abaagu, Hon. Dennis Akura , Hon. Ioryue Yajir, Mr Peter Egbodo, Hon. Joseph Ojobo, Jonathan Modi , Barr. Shaageer Matins, Yuhe Jerome and Barr. Tom Uja

Similarly, the Assets Recovery Committee for. Local Government, has Jude Tyo PhD – Chairman and Rt. Hon. Nick Eworo , Member/Secretary.

The Statement said Barr. Aondowase Apera, Hon. Kwaghgba Amande, Richard Dzungweve, Rt. Hon. Anthony Sende, Olofu Ogwuche and
Mr. Terver Kachina will serve as members.

The statement, said a Facts Finding Committee has also been inaugurated for the Benue State University.

Rt. Hon. Paul Biam will head the team, while Mr. Agbo Ochekpe , will be Member/Secretary.

Other members of the committee are Barr. Jacob Ajene, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange and Prof. Eugene Alyegba as members.

The committee which has been given its terms of reference and lifespan ,will also have as members representatives from the Department of State Security , Police, the Military and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
