Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has deposed the Ohimege of Koton Karfe, Alhaji Abdulrazak Isa Koto and the Olu of Magongo, Oba Sam Bola.
The two kings were deposed on Monday by the outgoing governor.
The state government has also banished the deposed kings to Niger State.
The deposed Ohimege, a first class traditional ruler and Vice Chairman, Kogi State Council of Chiefs ascended the throne in 2012.
Bello, also named a former commissioner for Water Resources in the state, Hon. Salih Akawu as the new Ohimege of Koto Karfe.
The outgoing governor also wielded the big stick on the Ojogba of Ife, in Abejukolo area of Omala Council area of the state by suspending him indefinitely.
Recalled that the deposed kings were queried immediately after the November 11, 2023 governorship election for being political and openly sympathetic to oppositions parties leading to break down of law and insecurity in their domains.
