Lokoja – Governor Yahaya Bello on Monday swore in Justice Josiah Majebi as the Acting Chief Judge of Kogi State.
Bello during the brief swearing in ceremony at the Lugard House charged the acting chief judge to discharge justice without fear or favour.
He described the Acting Chief Judge as a man of impeccable character, urging him to sustain the feat and assured the judiciary of his administration full support.
The new Acting Chief Judge of the State, Justice Josiah Joe Majebi in his speech promised to constitute Council of Judges.
Majebi said the council when fully operational would bring the needed repositioning to the state judiciary.
He said the judiciary under his leadership will have zero tolerance for corruption and laziness while hardwork would be adequately rewarded.
The Acting CJ then expressed appreciation to Bello for his continued partnership with the judiciary in fulfilling it’s constitutional obligations.
Earlier in his opening remark, the State Attorney- General and Commissioner for Justice, Mohammed Sani, SAN, commended the judiciary for living up to expectations, noting that judicial officers in Kogi State have not been found wanting in the discharge of their duties.
