We Have Released 313 Terrorism Suspects In Compliance With Court Order – DHQ

The Defence Headquarters said it has complied with the ruling of a Federal High Court in Maiduguri which ordered it to release 313 terrorism suspects.

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. – Gen. Edward Buba, stated this in Abuja on Thursday.

He said the suspects were all along detained on suspicion.

Buba, further said no evidence was found against them after investigations, making their release inevitable.

He said all the 313 terrorism suspects were released to the Borno Government.

According to him, their cases were prosecuted by the Federal Ministry of Justice, wherein the court ordered their release.

“Accordingly, they were handed over to the Borno State Government for further action,’’ he said.
