Remains of Major – General Rabe Abubakar, who died on Saturday while in the custody of terrorists have been laid to rest .
Rabe was buried after his corpse was handed over to the Katsina State government by his abductors who are still holding unto his wife.
Rabe and his wife were going for a wedding when they were kidnapped on Saturday, May 30, 2026, around the Matazu area of Katsina State.
Rabe was a former spokesman of the Nigerian Army.
Rabe’s death on Saturday in terrorists camp was confirmed by the Katsina State government.
The retired general was abducted alongside his wife by armed bandits while travelling to his hometown in Katsina State.
Katsina State Government said Rabe died from complications arising from diabetes and hypertension while being held by his abductors.
