Lokoja – A traditional ruler, Oba (Dr) Fredrick Durojaiye Balogun, Olu Apata of Apata, Kogi State has called for tolerance and peaceful coexistence among his subjects and Communities for progress and development.

The Monarch gave the charge in his Palace on Friday while addressing his subjects and wellwishers, who gathered to celebrate his 8th Year on the throne as their Royal Father.

Oba Balogun, who was grateful to God for keeping him not just alive but in good health and at peace with his subjects and neighbouring Communities, said “peace is paramount in any man’s life.”

“As peaceful loving people of Apata Chiefdom, I am enjoining you to be tolerant and coexist peacefully with one another irrespective of tribe, religion and political affiliation.

“You should wary of how you react to issues in this electioneering campaign period not to fuel any crisis in our community or anywhere you find yourselves.

The traditional ruler, who is the Olu Lagedu VI, was full of praises to his family members, traditional council members and the community members for their unalloyed support and prayers to him during the eight years of his reign.

He thanked Gov Yahaya Bello for enabling Apata Chiefdom to enjoy so much infrastructural development, which it had never seen since the creation of Kogi.

According to him, the infrastructure this government brought to our community including grading of the stool of Olu Apata, hospital, magistrate court, several blocks of classrooms and many more on the way.
