Security forces have rescued the six remaining teachers and 39 pupils kidnapped in Pride Local Government in Oyo State on May 15, 2026.
The teachers and pupils were rescued on Friday by federal security agencies.
Eight terrorists were arrested in connection with abduction.
Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu confirmed the rescue of the pupils and teachers.
Report also said some terrorists were neutralised during a gun battle that ensued during the rescue operation.
The woman principal who was among the seven teachers kidnapped expressed their heartfelt gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his intervention.
One of the kidnapped teachers, Mr Michael Oladokun was killed by the terrorists.
The victims spent 56 dats in captivity with their abductors.
