President Bola Tinubu has rre-nominated Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate for the 2027 presidential election.
A source within the party who confirmed this on Friday said the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is preparing to make the decision official during its ongoing meeting.
The NWC and other senior party leaders are currently meeting at the Continental Hotel in Abuja to formally endorse Kashim Shettima as the running mate to Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
The move is expected to settle months of intense political speculation over whether President Tinubu would retain Shettima on the ticket or select a new vice-presidential candidate ahead of the polls.
