The first batch of 549 intending pilgrims from Kogi State have successfully arrived in Saudi Arabia for this year’s hajj.
The pilgrims left, the Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport, Abuja on Monday morning and arrived Jeddah by 3pm, Saudi Arabian time.
Sources close to the Kogi State Hajj Commission said the airlift of the pilgrims was very smooth.
The sources said the second batch of 177 intending pilgrims will be airlifted same time today, Tuesday, June 6 and are also expected to arrive 3pm Saudi Arabian time.
A total of 726 intending pilgrims from Kogi State will be performing this year’s hajj.
