A Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan has nullified the National Convention of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held on November 15, 2025.
Justice Uche Agomoh who presided over the court voided the exercise held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, citing procedural irregularities.
Consequently, the court issued a restraining order barring Mr. Turaki and other members elected at the convention from parading themselves as national officers of the party.
In a move to prevent a leadership vacuum, Justice Agomoh ruled that the Caretaker Committee, led by Abdulrahman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu, remains the only legally recognized National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP.
This recognition stands pending the conduct of a valid and constitutionally compliant National Convention. (vitalnewsngr.com)
