The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin, Professor Shaykh-Luqman Jimoh, has described the death of the institution’s Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Professor Abdulganiyu Ambali as a great loss to humanity.

Professor Jimoh noted that the late Council Chairman was a distinguished Nigerian who was straightforward in his dealings, highly cerebral, committed to the growth of KWASU and the larger Kwara community, and an exemplary administrator who led the Governing Council with wisdom and a true sense of commitment.

The Vice Chancellor added that the demise of Professor Ambali would be greatly felt not just by the KWASU community but by many other institutions, communities, and people beyond Kwara State.

The KWASU Vice-Chancellor also commiserated with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari; the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union; the immediate and extended family; colleagues; and friends on the loss of such an illustrious personality.

Professor Jimoh prayed that Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and grant his family, friends, colleagues, and the KWASU community the fortitude to bear the loss.
