2027 : Kogi APC Members Adopt, Endorse President Tinubu, Ododo For Second Term In Office

Ahead the 2027 general elections, the Kogi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for a second term in office.

The endorsement was the highlight of a rally held in Lokoja on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

The endorsement rally brought together key stakeholders, and a large number of party members and supporters from all the 259 wards, 21 local government councils and three senatorial districts in the state.

The huge rally was prove of the widespread support enjoyed by President Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, who have been credited with visionary leadership and progressive governance.

The immediate past governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello moved the motion for the President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to run for both Presidential and gubernatorial election in 2027.

While moving the motion, Bello expressed his unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, which has been the guiding principle of the current administration.

The motion was seconded by Senator Smart Adeyemi, who was also the Chairman of the committee that organised the rally.

Both Bello and Adeyemi
urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to run for presidential and gubernatorial election come 2027.

The party’s endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Ododo is a clear indication of its resolve to continue supporting their policies and programs.

Speaking further, Bello, described President Tinubu as a humanist and a courageous man who meant well in his efforts to move Nigeria to the next level of concrete social, economic and political development in all ramifications.

Bello also commended Governor Ododo for embarking on people -oriented policies and programmes that are for the well-being of Kogites.

He urged the people to vote massively for the President Tinubu and Governor Ododo in the next election, assuring them that “under APC,we shall get to the promise land.”

Governor Ododo in his remarks, thanked party members and supporters for the endorsement and confidence reposed in him to run for the gubernatorial election in 2027.

He also thanked Presiden Tinubu for the Renewed Hope Initiative that has transformed the lives of Nigerians.

In his words “We thank Mr. President, my father Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“You are a sincere father leading from the front.

“I refused to be scared because I have Mr. President and mentor Former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello on my side.

“I will stand with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu come 2027.

“I acknowledge the role of my mentor Former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for all his contributions.

“He is a star leader in our party APC today, we pray that God gives him more strength.

“Let us not be distracted by noise, let’s stand behind Mr. President.
