Amanabo Yusuf has emerged
as the New Nigeria Peoples
Party (NNPP) flag bearer
for Idah/Ibaji/Igalamela/Ofu
Federal constituency
Amanabo polled 112 votes to defeat his opponent, Atiku Abubakar Isah who polled 46 votes.
The election which took place at the Stephen Achema Handball Stadium, Idah was adjudged peaceful, free and fair.
The returning officer Honourable Obansa Muhammed declared Amanabo winner having scored the highest number of votes.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the election, Amanabo extended the olive branch to his opponent, asking him to join hands with him in the race to win at the general election.
He said the NNPP will spring surprises in Kogi State during
the coming 2023 general election.
