Katsina – Gunmen in the early hours of Wednesday broke into the rectory of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Gidan Maikambo, Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State and kidnapped four persons, including two Reverend fathers.
The Director, Social Communications of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Rev. Fr Christopher Omotosho confirmed the incident in a statement issued on Wednesday in Sokoto.
He identified those kidnapped by the gunmen to include the parish priest of the church, Rev. Fr. Stephen Ojapa, MSP, and his assistant , Rev. Fr. Oliver Okpara and two other boys.

“No information as to their whereabouts. Kindly pray for
their safety and release,” Omotosho said in the statement.
St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Gidan Maikambo, in the Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State is under Sokoto Diocese which also covers Zamfara and Kebbi States.
