A veteran Journalist and one of the founders of Newswatch Magazine, Mr Dan Agbese is dead.
Family sources said Dan Agbese died in Lagos in the early hours of Monday, November 17, 2025.
Aged 81 years, Dan Agbese was born in Agila, Ador Local Government area of Benue State, North Central Nigeria.
Dan Agbese had degrees in mass communications and journalism from the University of Lagos and Columbia University, New York, respectively.
He was a former editor of The Nigeria Standard, the New Nigerian as well as former general manager of Radio Benue.
