Terrorists on Saturday released 11 passengers of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack of March 28, 2022.
The victims were released after series of intense negotiations between the Federal Government and the terrorists.
Malam Tukur Mamu, Media Consultant to Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, who served as one of the mediators confirmed the release of the victims in Kaduna.
Those released comprised six females and five makes.
They were released after spending about 74 days in captivity.
Some of the passengers kidnapped from the Abuja-Kaduna train on March 28.
According to him, some retired Army Generals and a renowned professor also assisted toward the release of the passengers.
Mamu said the 11 released victims have been flown to Abuja for medical evaluation and treatment on the order of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He said they will later be reunited with their distraught families.
Vitalnewsngr.com reports that two of the kidnapped passengers were also released by terrorists on Friday, June 10.
The terrorists had on March 28 forced Abuja-Kaduna passenger train to a stop and thereafter kidnapped 68 passengers.
