The President General of the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs in Nigeria and Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Alh. Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III has directed Muslims in the country to commence this year’s Ramadan fast tomorrow, Saturday, March 1, 2025.
Sultan Abubakar gave the directive in a statement Friday night.
He said the directive follows the sighting of the moon of Ramadan in different places in Nigeria.
“This indicates that Tomorrow Saturday 1st March 2025 will In sha Allah be first of Ramadan 1446 in the Islamic Calendar.
“May Allah (SWA) accept our Ibadat. Amen
