LAGOS — President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending about four weeks in Europe on a working vacation.
He arrived in Lagos from Paris on Tuesday evening.
The President arrived aboard Nigerian Air Force One, with the aircraft taxiing into the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, at about 6:22 p.m.
Tinubu departed Nigeria on August 30 for London before proceeding to Paris, France, where he held official engagements, including meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron and business leaders.
The Presidency had subsequently extended his stay by a few days.
His return through Lagos is expected to precede a series of official engagements, including activities surrounding Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1.
He will eventually return to Abuja after the activities.
