The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP,) has suspended its national secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, National Organising Secretary, Hon Umar Barure, National legal adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN and deputy National legal adviser, Barr Okechukwu Osuoha.
They were all suspended on Saturday by the National Working Committee (NWC,) of thrle party for one month.
The party also said all the suspended national officer’s will be made to appear before its disciplinary committee.
This decision was taken by the NWC at its 608th meeting held on Saturday November 1, 2025.
According to the NWC, “During this period of the suspension, they cease to function in their respective capacities.
“In the case of the National Secretary, Pursuant to Section 36(2) of our Party Constitution as amended in 2017, the Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Arc. Setonji Koshoedo shall act as the National Secretary.
“In the case of the National Legal Adviser and the Deputy National Legal Adviser, the National Director of Legal Services is hereby directed to oversees the activities of the Department.”
Their suspension msy be as a result of a judgment by an Federal High Court, Abuja, which stopped the national convention of the party slated for November 15 and 16 in Ibadan, Oyo State.
