Ododo Visits President Tinubu, Briefs Him On Security Situation In Kogi

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo  of Kogi State on Wednesday visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa , Abuja , to brief him on the security situation of the state.

Ismaila Isah, Special Adviser on Media to the Governor disclosed this in a press release in Lokoja .

He said Ododo used the opportunity to brief President Tinubu on efforts by his administration to improve on the state’s security architecture with the sole aim of securing lives and property in all parts of the state.

Isah quoted the Governor as commending President Tinubu on his prompt intervention to address food security challenges in the country.

” He also intimated the President with the positive feedback from the people of Kogi State , following the distribution of food palliatives in the state last month.

“The governor promised that the exercise will be a continuous one throughout the year and would have long term offshoots in his administration’s efforts to improve agricultural production in the state.

“Governor Ododo assured the president of his commitment to ensure food security in the state with the clearing of hectares of land and introduction of subsidy for farmers in the state to boost food production, improve processing facilities and access to market.

“The Governor commended President Tinubu for the speed and commitment demonstrated by the federal ministry of works towards achieving timely completion of federal road projects in Kogi State,” the statement said.

The governor also stressed that the Abuja-Lokoja-Benin road is currently receiving the level attention that reflects the determination of the federal government under President Tinubu to complete the project within stipulated timeframe.

In his response, President Tinubu commended Ododo for his impressive start in office as the Governor of Kogi State and assured him of his continued support in his efforts to transform the state.    (vitalnewsngr.com)
