Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa said the initiative aims to energise diaspora entrepreneurs, promote knowledge transfer, and stimulate strategic investment into Nigeria’s rapidly expanding economic sectors.
“This challenge is designed to spotlight exceptional ideas and support impactful ventures developed by Nigerians abroad.
“It reinforces the Federal Government’s commitment to engaging the diaspora as crucial partners in national progress.”
NiDCOM also announced that the Connected Diaspora Flagship Event 2025 is expected to bring together entrepreneurs, policymakers, investors, tech leaders, and development partners for high-level discussions on innovation and Nigeria’s economic future.
The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat, will serve as Special Guest of Honour.
He is expected to speak on the importance of strengthened government-diaspora collaboration for national development.
NiDCOM expressed appreciation to partner organisations for their continuous support, describing their collaboration as vital to unlocking diaspora potential and accelerating economic advancement.
