Ogunjobi, a former police officer, was captured in a viral video physically assaulting the old man, alongside his accomplices whose faces were also not captured in the video.

In the video, he accused Elder Areola of an alleged betrayal with one Wasiu while cursing the old man severely.

Ogunjobi, who had earlier denied being the person in the viral video, according to the Committee for Human Rights, confessed at the Eleweran headquarters of Ogun State police command.

He was also said to be begging the victim with a plot of land.

The embattled Oba was said to be using his influence as a former police officer and that of his wife identified as Officer Veronica serving at FCID, Alagbon, to threaten the peace of Orile Ifo. (vitalnewsngr.com)
