The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the creation of the Ministry of Livestock Development.

In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja, MACBAN President Baba Othman-Ngelzarma said the establishment of the ministry will unlock the potential of Nigeria’s trillion-dollar worth livestock industry.

He said: “With this development, MACBAN believes, the hope of the Nigerian pastoralists is now achieved under the Renew Hope Agenda.

“The promise made by President Tinubu, to raise the productive capacity of Nigerian agriculture to ensure food security is being fulfilled.

Othman-Ngelzarma said MACBAN had long advocated a dedicated ministry to modernize livestock production systems in line with global best practices.
