Ilorin – A Lecturer with the Kwara State University (KWASU), Malete, Dr Ajeigbe Issa was on Monday morning found dead in his room in Ilorin, the state capital.
It was believed that Issa
died in his sleep.
He was said to have retired to bed hale and hearty at about 11pm of Sunday , April 23 only to be found dead by relations Monday morning.
He was until his death, the Head of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education and the Acting Director of Sports at the KWASU.
The Registrar of KWASU, Dr Kikelomo Sallee confirmed the death of Ajeigbe in a statement on Minday.
According to her, Ajeigbe died in his sleep at his home in Ilorin.
“With heavy heart, we announce the death of the Head of Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education and Ag. Director Sports of Kwara state University, Dr. Ajeigbe Issa Yaqub.
“Dr. Ajeigbe died in his sleep.
“As the University mourns this loss of a committed member of staff, we pray Allah forgives all his shortcomings and admits him into jannatul firdaus.
“May Allah also console his family, friends and the University Community, ” Sallee said.
Ajeigbe has since buried according to Islamic rites at about 10am of Tuesday at Budo-Egba, Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State. (vitalnewsngr.com)
