Kano Emir, Ganduje laud Dangote on contributions to economy

Kano –  The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero and the Kano State governor, Professor Abdulahi Ganduje have commended Dangote Group for its contributions to the economic growth and development of Nigeria.

Both the Emir and Ganduje gave the commendation during their separate visits to the pavilion of the Dangote Group at the ongoing 42nd edition of the Kano International Trade Fair.

Ado Bayero said he was particularly happy with Dangote Group with its rare courage at establishing a world class oil refinery company in Lagos in spite of the economic challenges facing the country.

The Emir also commended the organisers of the trade fair, the Kano Chamber of Commerce , Industry, Mines and Agriculture ( KACCIMA) and the other exhibitors at the fair which comes to an end on December 11

“ We have visited the Trade Fair, and we are happy with the development so far despite the economic situation around the world. May Allah support our effort,” he said.

While also visiting the Dangote Group pavilion, Kano State Governor, Alhaji Umar Ganduje praised Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the President of the group for his contributions to the development of Kano.

The Governor who was represented by the Commissioner of Commerce and Industry, Mr Ibrahim Mukhtar said the contributions of
Dangote in the areas of industrialisation and job creation were unparallel.

The Ambassador of Uganda to Nigeria, Mr Nelson Ocheger during a tour of the Dangote Group pavilion described Aliko Dangote as an institution and an “African Jewel”.

He said that Dangote’s support for Africa in the areas of investment in critical sectors of the economy and job creation was being felt positively all over the continent.

The President of KACCIMA, Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar, said the theme of the fair was ” Consolidating the Challenges of Covid-19 pandemic to opportunities growth and development of micro, small and medium enterprises in Nigeria.”

He said that the theme was apt considering the huge negative impact of the global disease on the economy of the country.

Companies participating at the fair under the Dangote Industries Limited are: Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, NASCON and Dangote Fertiliser.

Dangote Group’s Special Day at the fair comes up on Friday, December 10. (Vitalnews)
