The Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of special investigation, Panti, Lagos State, Gbolahan Olugbemi has reportedly committed suicide.
Olugbemi, took his life inside his private home in Ogbomoso, Oyo State while observing the Easter holiday.
The deceased served as an aide de camp to late Adebayo Alao Akala, a former governor of Oyo State.
Olugbemi was said to be observing the Easter holiday in Ogbomoso when he committed suicide.
His dead body was discovered inside the house Monday afternoon.
As at the time of the incident, Olugbemi was said to be alone in the house located on Petros Academy Street in the Federal Low Cost area, Ogbomoso.
The police immediately cordoned off the area, while residents were seen in groups discussing the unfortunate incident.
“Sometimes he comes home with police security.
“In fact, l saw him recently driving personally into his beautiful mansion,” one of the residents said.
