Suspected kidnappers have abducted 25 choir members of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke Igan, Akure , Ondo State.
The Choristers were kidnapped around 3pm on Friday while traveling to Ifon for burial ceremony of a parent of one of them.
A source in the church said that the vehicle conveying the kidnapped choir members were seen abandoned on roadside.
Spokesman of Ondo State Police Command , Funmi Odunlami while reacting said the police got an information that a church bus with the Inscription CAC was abandoned around Elegbeka area and there were suspicions that the passengers in the vehicle were kidnapped.
“The Police Anti- kidnapping squad and other tactical teams have been deployed to the area to rescue the victims and arrest all involved in the crime,” she said. (Radio Nigeria/votalnewsngr.com)
