The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday confirmed the killing of Alhaji Lateef Adeniji, Director of Administration at its national headquarters in Abuja.
Adeniji reportedly died in the hands of national secretariat kidnappers who abducted him from his house in Abuja almost two months ago.
The kidnappers were said to have received N50 million ransom from APC but still went ahead to kill Adeniji.
The APC has announced the closure of its national secretariat to mourn the passing of Adeniji.
The party announced the closure of its secretariat in a memo dated 10th April, 2025 and signed by the Deputy Director of administration, Ubagba Abel.
In the memo titled ‘‘Secretariat closure for the mourning of the director of administration’’, APC advised all staff to use the period of mourning for sober reflection and prayers for the family and the loved ones.
The memo reads : “The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National secretariat from all party/work activities with immediate effect till Monday 14th April 2025.
”This decision was made after he had received the news of the sad demise of the Director of Administration, Late Hon. AbdulRaif Adekunle Adeniji.”
