Bandits have have invaded Dan Auta community in Katsina State, killed two persons and kidnapped 14 other residents who are mostly women children.
Among those kidnapped was the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the community, Alhaji Imamu.
Report said a member of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC) was among the two people killed during the attack.
The bandits were said to have invaded Dan Auta community in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State at about 2am of Friday, October 18, 2024.
Local vigilantes and members of the KSCWC reportedly attempted to repel the attack but were outnumbered and overpowered by the heavily armed assailants.
Some residents sustained injuries during the invasion and are receiving medical attention at the local primary healthcare center.
Attempts to reach the Katsina State Police Command for confirmation were unsuccessful as at the time of filing the report.
