Abuja – The new chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), Dr Solomon Arase says the lingering face-off between the commission and police is due to lack of communication.

Arase said the communication gap had led to suspicion between the two organs.

He spoke on Monday when the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba paid him a courtesy visit.

The IGP, who was accompanied by the management team of the Force, immediately went into a closed-door meeting with the Chairman and members of the commission.
