Abuja – The First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari has ordered all staff in her office to proceed on indefinite leave.
The Senior Special Assistant on health and development partners in the Office of the First Lady, Dr Mohammed Kamal stated this in a statement in Abuja.
According to Kamal, Mrs Buhari gave the order on Tuesday , December 21.
He said the staff will be on leave until further notice .
The statement also said that the office of the First lady will also be shutting down immediately for the upcoming festive period of Christmas and New year.
” To this end, all staff are requested to proceed on leave, untill further notice.
” Please note that official engagements and work can also continue virtually as it was done previously.
” Her Excellency also appreciates and thank all staff for their commitment and hard work and wish all a happy festive period ahead,” Kamal quoted the First Lady as saying in the letter. (vitalnews)
