The Super Eagles are finally back in Nigeria after their 16-hour ordeal at Al Abraq Airport in Libya.
The team came in through the Aminu Kano International Airport few hours ago.
The team had travelled on Sunday to Libya for a 2025 African Cup of Nations qualifier with Libyan national team.
The team and officials from Nigeria were however, held up at Al Abraq Airport for 16 hours.
They were held up at the Libyan airport without access to necessities like food, water, or a place to rest.
The ill treatment forced the NFF to call off the return watch scheduled for Tuesday in Benghazi.
The Nigerian authority formally lodged a complain to CAF which has ordered its disciplinary board to investigate and recommend appropriate sanctions for violators of its rule and regulations.
The team consequently left Libya and has arrived at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano State, after their ordeal in Libya.
The Super Eagles, who departed Nigeria on Sunday, had their flight unexpectedly diverted to a remote airport far from the match venue, resulting in an additional three-hour road journey to their destination.
