The semi-final lineup for the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 is now set after the quarter-final matches concluded on Saturday night.

The remaining four teams— Egypt, Nigeria, hosts Morocco, and Senegal —will compete for a place in the final on Wednesday, January 14.

Hosts Morocco are scheduled to play Nigeria, while Senegal will take on Egypt in the two highly anticipated matches.

Egypt, the seven-time champions, secured the last semi-final spot by narrowly defeating the defending champions, Côte d’Ivoire, 3–2.

This result ended the Elephants’ hope of a title defense and confirmed Egypt’s upcoming match against Senegal.

In Rabat, the host nation Morocco kept their title ambitions alive with a 2–0 win over Cameroon.

The Atlas Lions demonstrated both offensive strength and defensive stability through goals from Brahim Díaz and Ismaël Saibari.

Nigeria rooted out the semi-final group by beating Algeria 2–0 in Marrakech.

Victor Osimhen scored the opener, and Akor Adams added a second late in the game to secure the win and set up their meeting with Morocco.

The semi-final games are scheduled as follows:

Senegal vs. Egypt : Wednesday, January 14, at the Grand Stade de Tanger in Tangier, Rabat (6 PM WAT).

Nigeria vs. Morocco: Wednesday, January 14, at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat (9 PM WAT).

The tournament will conclude with the final on January 18 in Rabat.
