Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, has called on the Peoples Democratic Party to negotiate with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, if it wants to stand a chance in the 2023 presidential elections.
Fayose, a PDP chieftain, made the comment during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today.
“Obi is a danger to watch out for,” Fayose said. “I don’t believe Obi will make 25 per cent in two-third of the states.
“I am not against Obi, I love him and he’s a very vibrant leader. But based on my own permutations, he can’t make 25 per cent.
“Obi is more of a chronic cancer to PDP.
“In the South-West, I don’t see how PDP will win. anybody deceiving us can continue to deceive us. I don’t see how PDP will win in the South-East. The South-South will be a combination of all interests.”
He described the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso, as “a semi-cancer.”
“Reconciling or negotiating with Obi will be a good thing,” he added.
He also called for the PDP to negotiate with the party’s aggrieved Governors. (ChannelsTV)
