APC primaries: 17 presidential aspirants, 95 guber aspirants, 241 Senate hopefuls pick forms

..821 House of Reps, 1,505 house of assembly aspirants also

Abuja – At least,17 presidential aspirants and 95 governorship aspirants have so far obtained
and paid for the expression of interest and nomination forms of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Arugugu who disclosed this in Abuja said 241 aspirants have also picked senatorial forms, while 821 aspirants have purchased the expression of interest and nomination forms for the House of Representatives.

He said that the figures were as at close of work on Thursday, May 5.

According to him, while the male aspirants paid N100 million each, the only female aspirant among the pack paid N30 million as directed by the party.

He further stated that 1,505 house of assembly aspirants have purchased the forms across the country.

As at 5pm Friday, presidential aspirants that have paid the stipulated N1000 million and collected their forms include a former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Governor Kayode Fayemi, Governor Yahaya Bello, Nicholas Bello, Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, former Senate President, Sen. Ken Nnamani and Minister of Labour and productivity, Chris Ngige and Jigawa State governor, Abubakar Badaru.

Others are Ebonyi State governor, Dave Umahi, former Imo State governor, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Minister of State, Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajuiba and Uju Kennedy, the only female aspirant.

There is the possibility that the number of aspirants for various positions may increase as the collection and submission of forms close on Tuesday, May 10. (vitalnews)
