A 50-year-old housewife in Ilorin, Kwara State, Mrs Victoria Taiye Emmanuel, is in urgent need of financial assistance to combat a life-threatening case of breast cancer affecting both her breasts.
She is making a passionate appeal to well-meaning Nigerians and international organisations for support to raise the sum of N38 million required for her full medical treatment.
Diagnosed last year with bilateral breast cancer, Mrs Emmanuel has been undergoing various medical evaluations and procedures.
The family has already spent over N4 million in the course of managing the illness, according to her husband, Mr Emmanuel.
“This has drained us financially. We’ve done all we can, but the cost of treatment keeps rising. We’re now turning to the public for help,” he said.
Medical assessments carried out by Dr Olagunju N. T. of Leah Diagnostic Centre in Ilorin identified bilateral breast lesions (BIRADS 3) and recommended further evaluation through breast ultrasound.
A detailed pathological diagnosis conducted by consultants at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital confirmed the presence of invasive carcinoma in both breasts.
According to the report signed by Professor Agodirin and reviewed by Dr Suleiman and Dr Olayiwola at UITH, the condition requires immediate and intensive treatment to improve her chances of survival.

In an emotional plea, Mrs Emmanuel said : “Please, I need kind-hearted people to help me get proper treatment.
“I believe in miracles, and I know God can use people to save me.
“May God bless everyone who supports us in this journey.
“May you never face this kind of challenge in Jesus’ name.”
