Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has dissolved the management team of the Nasarawa United Football Club led by Dr. Othman Ahmed Ibrahim.
The team’s media officer, Amos Eche, disclosed this to newsmen in Lafia on Tuesday.
He said the state Deputy Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe announced the decision a short while ago on behalf of the governor.
Akabe announced the dissolution of the management team after meeting with the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Jafaru Ango; Permanent Secretary, Isaac Danladi, and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Sule on Sports Affairs, Comrade Hamza Ibrahim Moyi.
Also in the meeting in Lafia, the State Capital, were Management Members of the Club.
Nasarawa United FC got relegated from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) in the 2022/23 Abridged Season to the second-tier Nigeria National League (NNL).
But the Solid Miners in just one season, rebounded under the guidance of Coach Usman Adams, and gained promotion back to the elitist division, after a near-perfect campaign at the recently held NNL Super Eight promotional playoffs, in Enugu. (vitalnewsngr.com)
