The Federal Government has provisionally increased the minimum wage to N55,000.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced this on Sunday this in a nationwide broadcast to Nigerian to mark the 63,rd independence anniversary of Nigeria.
He said the provisional new minimum wage will be for six months after which government and other stakeholders will arrive at a realistic minimum wage.
With this, the minimum wage payable in the federal civil service has been increased from the current N30,000 by N25,000 to N55,000.
