Lokoja – The Management of Kogi United FC Lokoja has sacked its technical adviser, Coach Shola Ibrahim Adewuyi.

The club’s media officer, Godwin Wambebe confirmed the sack of Coach Adewuyi in a statement he issued in Lokoja.

The sack of the Coach may not be unconnected to the club’s poor performance in the current Nigeria National League season.

Wambebe said the Chairman of the Club, Abdulmalik Isah thanked Coach Adewuyi for his services to the Club and wished him well in his future endeavours.

“In the meantime, Assistant Coach, Chidi Oji will take charge until a substantive Technical Adviser is appointed.

“He will be ably assisted by Goalkeeper Trainer Coach Abdulazeez Adeiza and Mohammed Yusuf,” the statement added.

Recall that, Kogi United last week Saturday lost to EFCC by 1 -0 at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium.

The club is yet to win a single match in the current football season.
