The Senator representing Kogi West senatorial district of Kogi State, Sen. Smart Adeyemi has congratulated Governor Yahaya Bello on the numerous achievements of his administration in the past seven years.
Adeyemi who spoke to newsmen in Abuja on the occasion of the seven years in office of Governor Bello said his tenure has been a journey with records of remarkable achievements.
According to him, Bello’s administration has brought landmarks projects and programmes that have contributed to the socio-economic development of the state.
“In all sense of modesty, the tenure of Governor Yahaya Bello is worth celebrating in view of the fact that his emergence was divine.
“His footprints in education through the GYB Modern schools across the Senatorial districts, establishment of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) and 100 per cent accreditation of all courses in Kogi Polytechnic, LOKOJA, School of Nursing Obangede and College of Education, Ankpa, coupled with his strides in the health sectors are worthy of mentioning amongst other laudable projects.
“As a progressive politician, I play politics without bitterness and I dare say that I identified myself with those projects.
“Indeed, the confluence state under Governor Bello has witnessed infrastructural and top notch health development that has defined him as a person.
“As his tenures now winds down, I urged the governor to be steadfast in maintaining security, which is one of the hallmarks of his administration.
“And most importantly, he should be steadfast in administering the state with justice, fairness and equity which was his cornerstone message to people of the state at the beginning of his tenure, which he had maintained till date – and that which will define him and his administration in years to come.
“With great pleasure and warmth, I congratulate the governor on these milestone of seven years in the service of our beloved state.”
