Lagos – Seventeen secondary and primary school students have been crushed to death at Ojodu- Berger area of Lagos.
The accident which happened on Tuesday at Grammar School Bus Stop area involved students returning home after the close of schools.
The truck , a delivery van was trying to escape arrest by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority when it suddenly lost control and rammed into a crowd of students at the bus stop.
According to sources, the victims were mostly secondary school students.
The driver was said to have taken to his heels but was given a hot purchase and was apprehended at a spot close to Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Ikeja. (Vitalnews)
