The Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Jos, Plateau State has nullified the election of Senator Napoleon Bali of the PDP and declared former Governor Simon Lalong of APC as the actual winner of the senatorial election held on February 25, 2023.
Both Bali and Lalong contested the election to represent Plateau South Senatorial District in the red chamber.
The tribunal declared the judgment on Monday afternoon in Jos.
Lalong, who is the immediate past governor of Plateau State and was the Director-General of Bola Tinubu Presidential Campaign Committee has since been inaugurated as minister of labour.
However, Bali , has the option to pursue his case to the Court of Appeal.
