Sanwo-olu Gives Update On Train/Bus Accident , Says Preliminary Report Indicates Driver’s Error

Lagos – Governor Babajide Sanwo- olu says preliminary report on the accident involving a train and a bus indicated error on the part of the driver of the bus.

Sanwo -olu who spoke Thursday afternoon after visiting the injured victims in various hospitals where they are being treated said the driver survived the accident without any injury and is now in police custody.

He said the accident which happened at PWD bus-stop, Sogunle , Oshodi involved staff bus ‘33’ moving from Isolo to Alausa secretariat

According to the governor,
occupants were mostly civil servants and their dependants .

He said 85 passengers were on board out of which 6 lost their lives .

Two people died on the spot while four more deaths were recorded at hospital.

Sanwo-olu said 42 of the bus occupants sustained moderate injuries , 29 serious injuries and 8 with mild injuries.(vitalnewsngr.com)
