Lokoja – A political support group, Tinubu/Shetima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council (ICC) has inaugurated its Coordinators for the 21 local government councils and three senatorial districts in Kogi State.

The state Coordinator of the campaign council, Alhaji Sanusi Abubakar Gamji inaugurated the Coordinators in Lokoja on Saturday.

He said the Co-ordinators will serve as the foot soldiers of the campaign council to all nooks and cranny of the state.

Gamji said the main task of the Co-ordinators and other members is to deliver Kogi State 100 per cent to Tinubu/Shettima and all other candidates of the All Progressives Congress ( APC) contesting the February 25 and March 11 elections.

According to him, the inauguration of zonal, federal constituency, local government coordinators, directors, and members of the campaign directorate is fundamental in seven dimensions, because, it is the implementation arm of the campaign and the vehicle that will convey the message of renewed hope to the people, the silent majority at the grassroots.

”For us in Kogi State, we will start a state-wide massive grassroots mobilization campaign.

“We have constituted a network of grassroots-based volunteers, campaign leaders and polling units committee for this purpose, ” he said.

He impressed it on the Coordinators and other members of the support group that the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council is not in competition or supremacy battle with the APC Presidential Campaign Council (APC -PCC), warning them to be guided by this.

” Rather, the PCC is the mother of the campaign body and we are but only subordinates and messengers of the PCC to help deliver the gospel of renewed hope to the people at the grassroots.

“Let me note that as members of All Progressives Congress, we are working for all candidates of APC in the elections.

“To this end, as Coordinators we must ensure that our conducts and activities are in conformity with the rules of engagement at all times, ” he advised,” Gamji explained.

He extolled the sterling qualities of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima’s , saying that Nigerians will be safe in their hands.

Gamji described Tinubu as a merchant of hope and expressed total confidence in the capacity of Tinubu-Shettima ticket to redefine the meaning and concept of modern leadership in Nigeria.

He congratuled Governor Yahaya Bello on the recent inauguration of some legacy projects initiated and completed by his administration by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said Bello’s superlative performance in projects execution and landmark achievements in all sectors will further enhance the chances of the APC in the coming elections

Alhaji Kashim Mobo, the Coordinator of the group in Kogi West and Mr Isah Daniel, its Kogi East Coordinator thanked the leadership of tje group for the confidence reposed them and for finding them worthy to serve in that capacity.

Both Mobo and Daniel promised to the campaign to all nooks and cranny of the state, promising to deliver votes in the state 100 per cent to APC.

The event was attended by prominent members of APC from across the three senatorial districts of the state. (vitalnewsngr.com)
