The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Gandhi Afolabi Olaoye has charged Ogbomoso indigenes living in Jos and other parts of Plateau State to unite and cooperate with government at all levels to move the country forward.
Oba Olaoye gave the charge at a grand reception organised to welcome him to Plateau State by the sons and daughters of Ogbomosho living in Plateau State.
He advocated national unity and peace to move Nigeria forward.

also implored the people to sustain the exemplary
good work ethics that the natives of Ogbomoso are noted for.
Oba Laoye further admonished them ro sustain the values of honesty, integrity and hard work Ogbomoso indigenes are noted for, saying that Ogbomoso people are never known to be lagging behind in all fields of human endeavours.
“I urge you to sustain the exemplary work ethics you are known with and always strive to uphold the integrity all the time.
“You should not forget where you hail from and I am urging you to team up and support the ongoing development back home.
” When a warrior go to war, he always look up to the time that he will return home likewise a trader, please don’t forget your root.
“There are time and season for everything in life.
“ It is equally imperative that as indigenes of Ogbomosoland that you embrace and always have the love of your land at heart and also promote the growth of Ogbomoso land as this is fundamental and germane for meaningful growth,” the Oba said
He further emphasized the need for them to be patriotic and rededicate themselves to the ideals of nation building adding that Nigeria needs the cooperation and support of all to break even.
Oba Olaoye also disclosed that that his primary aim of being a traditional ruler was to put Ogbomosho in its rightful place and that there is the need for the indigenes to unite with him for the development of the town.
“ We are working to ensure that Ogbomoso would be different.
“In terms of development, Ogbomoso will be different in terms of peace, Ogbomoso will be different. I want you to know it is a new dawn in Ogbomosoland.
“We cannot solely rely on the government. While the government will contribute significantly, much of the effort will come from us.
“It is time for us to unite, roll up our sleeves, and work together to develop our town.”
Speaking earlier, the Asiwaju Yoruba of Plateau State, Chief Olajide Olagbemiro welcomed the first class traditional ruler to the state and restated their commitment to peaceful coexistence with their host communities.
Olagbemiro said : “The Yourbas are peaceful people who obey constituted authorities .
“We would continue to stay peaceful with our host communities, he added.
